The Chilean Solar Energy Research Center was created with several objectives. The main one was to become a world leader in scientific research on solar energy, with an emphasis on developing the enormous solar potential of the Atacama Desert.
Our vision is that SERC Chile’s scientific contribution, along with the support of public and private organizations and collaboration with leading solar research centers worldwide will contribute to the relevant integration of solar energy into Chile’s energy matrix, thus boosting it internationally.
SERC Chile also seeks to create new scientific knowledge, train advanced human capital in solar energy, promote technology transfer programs through projects co-financed by both public and private sector, and finally educate, inform and interact with citizens and those responsible for public policies.
In order to collaborate to these areas, a visual document showing our work and the way we contribute to the development of solar energy has been created.
