Claudia Rahmann, an academic from Universidad de Chile, assumed the direction of SERC Chile after the corresponding approval of her appointment by the Council of Conicyt, in December 2019. She replaces Rodrigo Palma, from the same university.
Rahmann is Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Chile and a PhD in Engineering from the Technische Hochschule Aachen University (Rheinich-Westfalische) in Germany. Her lines of research include the dynamics and stability of electrical power systems and the modeling of electrical power systems.
