On the morning of June 24, Rodrigo Palma, director of SERC-Chile, gave a different kind of talk. With the help of professor Marcelo Matus, he explained how solar energy works to an attentive audience of 5 and 6 year olds. The children, Pre-kindergarten C students at San Ignacio of Alonso Ovalle School, learned how solar energy functions using solar toy cars, flashlights, and a windmill.
